Vigilance Division of FSSAI is headed by Director (Vig) at its H.Qtrs, N. Delhi and is assisted by a team of officers of various ranks. The complaints received at FSSAI (HQ) through various sources against the employees of its Regional offices, Laboratories and Headquarters are dealt by vigilance division, FSSAI (HQ) following CVC guidelines.

On investigation by the FSSAI itself or through some other independent agency (i.e. CBI, CVC etc.) if prima facie, irregularities are attributed to any individual or more than one official, then further appropriate decision regarding initiation of Disciplinary Proceedings is taken at the level of Chief Executive Officer (CEO)/Chairperson (CP) of the Authority.
